This originally started out as a Holden Camira, but now has a mix of Nissan SR20DET (engine), Camira (body), and many custom accessories. It took out 6 trophies at the 2007 AutoSalon Final Battle and another 6 at the 2008 Summernats. Many years in the making, it is currently undergoing more engine modifications, so stay tuned!
Some of the modifications include 6 piston callipers front and back with 338mm rotors. Custom made intercooler, radiator, oil cooler, and power steering cooler with custom made brackets and all hand polished by BDL Car Stereo. A rear strut brace across the back seat was added to give extra strength to the car and make way for stereo gear where the rear parcel shelf and seat use to be. Custom body kit made at BDL Car Stereo, this includes the front bumper bar and rear bumper and side skirts.
The audio / visual installation starting with P90RS head unit, custom A-pillar pods and custom kick panels to accommodate the KIT 7 Focal 3-way high end speakers. A mono block amp and sub live under the parcel shelf in the custom box. AnXtant amplifier and cross block are embedded in the rear seat.
This Daihatsu Handi underwent major modifications! A total hand remodeling of the body, and a sound overkill inside set this “experiment” apart from the competition. Our aim was to see what could be fitted into a confined space and we achieved just that. A total of 16 x 12” Eclipse subwoofers were squeezed into the back and floor of the car! Mini Me had a little over 2160 watts RMS running through it’s amazing system. For those of you who are interested in how it all worked together, click on the schematic link .
This Mini underwent major changes from head to toe. We stripped it back, sound proofed the interior, rewired the engine and modified the dash. We specialise in this type of customisation, and quote on a car by car basis.
BDL Car Stereo custom made the A-pillars to house Focal tweeters. We also fitted a pair of Focal 8”subwoofers in custom made and trimmed sub boxes. The truck also has a 15” screen hooked to a PlayStation and Digital TV tuner, and a pair of Focal 165V2 splits in the top of the roof. The head unit and UHF were mounted in the overhead console for easy access while driving.
